Chrome Defeat Firefox for Browser Position No. 2Chrome from Google managed to beat Firefox from Mozilla as a browser in the world's number two, behind Internet Explorer from Microsoft.

The findings are the first firm StatCounter reported The Wall Street Journal where Chrome's market share rose to 25.69% and 25.23% Firefox only. Internet Explorer still dominates with 40.63% mastery.

Even so, Internet Explorer (IE) is still not successful in the share of smartphones and tablets in which mastery is still very low. In fact, last month reported Netmarketsahre.com, mastery IE drops below 50% for the first time.

While Safari, the default browser the iPhone and the iPad, claiming mastery gets 62.17% of mobile traffic as quoted by Mashable. In fact, according to recent reports, Chrome will be the default browser from Google's Android OS platform.

Chrome itself has been downloaded 200 million users in October.
